Founded in 1989 by pro skater, photographer, and industry lifer Tod Swank, Foundation Skateboards is one of the most respected and longest-running brands in skateboarding. Built during a time when the industry was dominated by a few major players, Foundation helped lead the charge for independent, skater-owned brands.

Originally launched with support from Steve Rocco and World Industries, Foundation quickly found its own identity. What started as a rough, underdog brand grew into a powerhouse through persistence, strong team riders, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
