The Best DIY Skateboard Wax Formula

In this episode, I’m showing you how to make what I genuinely believe is the best DIY skate wax I’ve ever skated.  Using some ingredients you may have overlooked…ever tried microcrystalline or graphite?
Before we get into the kitchen, I’m putting a fresh batch of this DIY skate wax to the test on three levels of curbs (including raw concrete) to prove it gives a consistent slide and grind.
So stop paying for wax and let’s make the best wax you’ll ever skate.

Here are the ingredients you’ll need (full quantities and tips are in the video!):

• Paraffin Wax (pellets or blocks)
• Beeswax
• Microcrystalline Wax (the bonding agent)
• Petroleum Jelly (Vaseline)
• Coconut Oil (or vegetable/olive oil)
• Concrete Oxide (or wax dye/crayon for colour)
• Graphite Powder (the secret ingredient)
