One of the coolest things about doing a skateboard company is all of the dynamic and creative people I get to work with. I met Colt Bowden as a young skateboarder and we sponsored him as an amateur on Toy Machine back in 2004. And although he didn’t end up going pro for us, we always kept in contact and it’s been amazing to watch him build a family and become an amazing artist. Whether it’s building and restoring vintage cars, sign painting, making zines, or doing skateboard graphics, he has found a path to a successful creative life, and I’m happy we get to work with him twenty years on!
